About Dante

Biography

Dante always had a passion for magic and the arts. Growing up just outside of New York City, his family would frequently attend Broadway shows and valued the arts. This early appreciation of the arts would lead to a lifetime of studying theater.

Dante’s father was an engineer and amateur magician. As a side hustle, his father would design and build custom props for professional entertainers. This group of variety entertainers included touring magicians, circus performers, and even a mime. They would visit his dad in his workshop whenever they needed something custom and magical built. Dante was fascinated by these performers and would listen to their exciting tales about performing all over the world. Their passion for what they did was contagious and it sparked a passion in Dante as well.

At the age of nine, Dante began studying magic and sleight of hand at the world famous "Tannen's Magic Camp", which has produced some of the biggest names in magic. At the same time, he began to also focus on theater and improvisation. By twelve years old, he could be seen performing at local school and community events. As a teen, his training in theater expanded to include circus, drama, and dance. Dante’s passion to perform would lead him to study theater and theatrical design at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he honed his skills and learned the art of stagecraft.

After college, Dante moved west to California to work as a teacher and performer. During this time, he worked on thousands of live events between San Francisco and LA. While in LA, Dante’s work expanded to music videos, television and commercials, including playing himself on the Emmy nominated television show "Hip Hop Harry". He even met his wife while performing on the Queen Mary, and together they continue to bring magic and joy to family audiences. Dante is now based in San Jose and is proud to be a father to his son, Rocco. He continues to follow his passion for magic and the arts and is dedicated to entertaining and delighting audiences of all ages.

What People Are Saying Online

“I found Dante through Yelp and he came for my son's 6th birthday. He was truly a crowd pleaser, from the kids to the adults. His energy, patience, skill and ability to control a crowd of 30 (!) kids was impeccable. My son, all his friends and the parents had a blast. I can't wait to bring him back for my daughter's 6th when the time comes.”

“I wish I could give 6 stars - I'm not sure we've ever had a better birthday celebration. Dante went above and beyond, and everybody had an amazing time - the birthday boy, the guests, the parents. I believe Dante's usual show is for a slightly older crowd, but he put together an act that had the younger kids completely captivated.”

— Jey C. - San Carlos - Yelp!

“We attended a 6 year old birthday party and WOW! Magic Dante was phenomenal! The adults were enraptured--no one was eating, talking or milling about--all eyes were on Dante. The kids LOST THEIR MINDS!! They were laughing so much. He had the perfect amount of silliness for the kids without losing the adults.”
